Why This Must Be Read: The Blacklist doesn't rely on a lot of tropes often seen in a lot of fanfiction. The show's mostly concerned with capturing the monster Blacklister of the Week while slowly uncovering Red Reddington, his life, and his ties to Liz. However, in this fic, Liz and Aram have to pretend to be a couple to set up a perpetrator. Although neither Liz or Aram are in a relationship as of the day I've published this post (with each other or with other characters), crescent_gaia does a great job incorporating the trope in the world of The Blacklist while setting up Liz and Aram's relationship.
