Why This Must Be Read: Yahtzee is one of my absolute favorite fanfic authors. In this story, she takes us on a canon-compliant future fic of a ride, where Harry is thirty-six, he and Ginny are divorced, and Ron finds out that Harry and Hermione were each other's firsts - and reacts badly. The story of Harry coming to the realization that he'd never quite gotten over Hermione is bittersweet. The characterization is excellent, and it's easy to see the possibility of this story having happened, and the ramifications of it in the 'here and now'. This is a really lovely fic.
