Why This Must Be Read: The story is by anythingbutgrey to start. I've never been disappointed by anything of hers, except that she hasn't finished her long SCC fic. She's created five alternative universes that nevertheless feel interconnected, which is no small feat. What's more, despite the "five things" structure, her story builds to a climax rather than ending and starting over five times. This is an insta-rec since it was just posted yesterday.
