Summary: After getting drunk on moonshine and burning down the shack, Beth and Daryl run together into the night.

Why This Must Be Read: Filling in my Road Trip square on my Trope Bingo card I'm going with a story that left me reeling for DAYS afterwards. This is a fantastic, epic story of Beth and Daryl back in Season 4, just after the episode 'Still', the ep that launched a thousand ships.

I'll warn you, this story is a masterclass in UST. It is slowest burn of all slow burns. I'm classifying it as a road trip because Beth and Daryl travel their way across Georgia evading all the usual and unusual terrors. The prose is incredible and will just suck you in. Again, be warned, I made the grave mistake of starting this at work and I did not get any work done at all that day. You will not want to put this story down. (There's a sequel: http://archiveofourown.org/works/3205010! It's a WIP.)

Trope: Babyfic/Kidfic

I'm not a fan of kidfic, and I thought I'd never be able to fill that square, but then I remembered this wonderful story which avoids all the red flags I usually associate with that trope.

Why This Must Be Read: This epic story turns the trope (Molly wants a baby, Sherlock offers sperm) on its head, and there are no rainbows and only very little domesticity. Sherlock's attempts at dealing with a relationship (or not) are great fun and the sex scenes are really hot. It's amazing what a beautiful world the author builds from a crack premise without drifting into sap.
