The Avengers, 8 recs, Darcy Lewis/Steve Rogers

Soooo, back in March I promised manywaters slow burn or hilarious crack recs for Darcy pairings for the April request challenge. And then totally welched because my every free moment was CONSUMED by another transformative works challenge I was a part of. So this post is very late but it does fit this month's theme! I apologize in advance if you've already read all these, my dear (assuming you stalk the Darcy Lewis AO3 tag like I do), but I tried my best to rec some stuff/authors I didn't see in your bookmarks. Also there are a couple of recs here that aren't slow burn or crack because hiddencait also requested fun crossovers/AUs.

Fandom: The Avengers
Pairing: Darcy Lewis/Steve Rogers
Title: A Pint of New York's Finest
Author: Nemhaine42
Rating/Warning(s): M
Word Count/WIP?: 2462/No
Recced By: super_tricie341 (LJ) | blackestglass (tumblr)

Why This Must Be Read: An AU where Darcy Lewis is a vampire and Steve Rogers' blood is the most DIVINE thing she's ever smelled. This was ridiculously hot and I appreciate that Darcy is completely unrepentant about what she is--no brooding, self-loathing angst here.

Title: "I am Here, and I am Ready" series
Author: Aenaria
Rating/Warning(s): First story is rated T, but the rating increases to M for the latest 2 stories. There is some (dreamscape) Darcy/Steve/Peggy, but nothing explicit.
Word Count/WIP?: The entire series is currently at 70,296 words. All 3 stories are complete, but the author has said she plans to continue the series.

Why This Must Be Read: This series is the DEFINITION of slow burn and what a satisfying burn it is. This is a fascinating AU where Darcy and Steve share dreams when they sleep. The timeline begins just after Steve wakes up from the ice and continues until just after the end of the first Avengers movie. The author does an incredible job of using the dreamscapes to explore each of the characters, and doesn't flinch away from addressing Steve's depression and PTSD. And if your eyes alighted on the dream-sharing trope and immediately thought, "THIS MEANS THERE WILL BE SEXY DREAMS, Y/Y????" the answer is MFYYYYYYYY and whoooooo, the smutty payoff is worth the long ride (pun TOTALLY intended).
