Why This Must Be Read: If you’re going to read one Parks high school AU, this is hands-down the one to read. The author does a beautiful job of translating all of the characters into the new setting—and the scenario where teenage Ben and Leslie have been longtime (platonic) friends works perfectly. (Bonus: this story was written for the 2013 Het Big Bang!)

Next month, we'd like to bring back a challenge that the community used to do every month—rec requests!

However, we're going to be doing things a little differently this time around: this will be our entire reccing challenge for the month, we will not limit the list to 20 requests, and we're going to accept all types of rec requests (not just ships/pairings).

The Plan: We're going to spend the next couple days compiling a list of community requests that you'd love to see your fellow het_reccers recommend fics for. We'll publish the list of all requests at the beginning of April, and spend the month helping our fellow comm members out with excellent fics!

What Can I Request?: Anything! When the comm used to do this sort of thing in the past, requests were limited to just pairings. You are of course welcome to request your current ships you'd love to find fic for, but if you'd like to be more specific (i.e. "I've seen up to season two of Friday Night Lights—anybody have any recs that don't spoil later seasons?") or more general (i.e. "Anybody have any good recs for fake dating fics? I'm cool with any current TV fandoms"), that's cool too. Blanket requests for fandoms or specific ships are also, as always, 100% welcome.

Some example requests:

The 100, Clarke Griffin/Bellamy Blake
MCU, any het pairing, hottest fic you've read
The X-Files, Dana Scully/Fox Mulder, anything that takes place post-canon or is about the most recent movie

A Few Things to Note (aka The Fine Print): You will be limited to THREE REQUESTS (if you request more things, only the first three will make the list). While this is an open format for requests, please remember that we are a het-focused reccing community—gen, slash, and poly ships are not the name of the game here. Also, please use both the FIRST AND LAST NAMES of any people you might request, along with telling us what fandom you're asking for. Don't assume people will know what you're talking about without being specific!
