"Felicity—" Oliver grabbed her arm, and tried to move her bodily out of the chair as the security guard's approaching footsteps grew louder.

He almost tripped as Felicity slipped out of the office chair and turned around to grab his forearms.

"What—" he began as she shoved him into the chair, and then hiked up her already almost sinfully short skirt to straddle him.

"Just go with it," Felicity whispered as she clicked off the monitor and dropped her clutch on the desk next to the blinking flash drive. Then her lips were on his, and his hands went automatically to her hips.

Why This Must Be Read:

Because it starts with Felicity kissing Oliver for cover, and then Oliver kisses Felicity in retaliation (and for cover) and then, there are kisses that maybe have more to do with feelings....? Full disclosure, I was one of the betas on this, but even if I hadn't been, I'd still recommend that people read this delightful piece of deliciously trope-heavy fanfiction.

...or, as any shipper knows to call them, pilots. (also my #1 OTP of all time, in any fandom). Here are 6 AU recs, which I've chosen because AU has the advantage of being spoiler-free - which might be good for people who haven't finished the series yet. Anyway, enough talk, on to recs!

Why This Must Be Read: This is a one-shot set pre-miniseries, and involves some major swoonworthiness from both Kara and Lee. workerbee73is one of my favourite authors for pilots, a master of both longfic and shortfic, especially her later work - she's developed brilliantly as a writer for them, and the greatest thing about her is that she knows when to pull back on the words. When it comes to this ship, their UST and intensity in fic, is best conveyed via restraint instead of flowery language, and Bee gets that really well.

Why This Must Be Read: For the simple reason that if any fic will ever make you feel better about the finale while reconciling with canon, this is it. It's a crossover with Dollhouse, involving Kara and Lee as an Active and Handler - but you don't need to be familiar with Dollhouse to enjoy this fic, though you will find some things funnier if you are.
