[SG1] Sam/Jack - Always

Beyond Entrapment by fems (NC-17)

Fandom Category: Stargate SG1
Pairing: Samantha Carter/Jack O'Neill
Fic Title: Beyond Entrapment
Author: fems

Rating/Warning(s): NC-17, explicit sexual content, talk about abortion
Genre: angst, romance, AU
WIP?: No

Why This Must Be Read: First of all, this is an epic fic (115+K) so be sure to have time ahead of you, because once you start reading it, it'll be difficult to stop. This fic is set post-Grace, but after that, it mostly diverges from canon. Sam finds herself pregnant with no idea how it's possible nor who the father is. This is a gorgeous fic where the author really explores the characters' reactions to these unexpected news. The characters are spot on, and it's certainly not a happy fic, and fems doesn't try to minimize the consequences such news have on Sam and the rest of the team. This is really a must-read.

Rating/Warning(s): R
Genre: Romance
Special Rec: 19/30

Why This Must Be Read: John and Aeryn's relationship had just as many lows as highs over the years, so it's fabulous to find a post-We're So Screwed fic that stays true to the characters by not ignoring the fact that their path to happily-ever-after was never exactly full of rainbows and puppies. An excellent look into John's head at the end of season four, and how he still holds Aeryn above everything else.

Rating/Warning(s): NC-17
Genre: Romance
Special Rec: 20/30

Why This Must Be Read: I adore pretty much everything Thea has ever written for John/Aeryn, and this is one of my favourites. Set after that kiss at the end of the Look at the Princess trilogy, this fic explores what came next with pitch perfect characterisations for that period of time, excellent writing, and plenty of kissing (and more).
