"The Rally of Haruhi Suzumiya" by Wildgoosery (PG-13)

Fandom Category: The Melancholy of Haruhi Suzumiya
Pairing: Suzumiya Haruhi/Kyon
Fic Title: The Rally of Haruhi Suzumiya
Author: Wildgoosery
Rating/Warning(s): PG-13
Genre: Mystery, Adventure, Romance
WIP?: no
Special Rec: 7 of 30

Why This Must Be Read: This was written for Yuletide this year, and it's the kind of story that makes me so happy that fanfiction (and Yuletide!) exists. Haruhi and Kyon are going out for a date on Christmas where, in true Haruhi fashion, everything is not exactly what it seems - like the best stories in the canon, this fic plays with the assumptions you've made about what exactly is going on and doesn't cheat the final answer at all. I love Kyon's spot-on wry narration here, the established relationship between Kyon and Haruhi, and I especially love how everything comes whooshing together at the end.

"News to Report" by open hearts catch dreams (R)

Fandom Category: Harry Potter
Pairing: Ginny Weasley/Harry Potter
Fic Title: News to Report
Author: open hearts catch dreams
Rating/Warning(s): R / Some sex innuendos, but nothing big
Genre: Post-DH, Romance
WIP?: No

Why This Must Be Read: "Ginny let her temper get the better of her, and said something she shouldn't have to Romilda Vane, who works for Witch Weekly. It's going to be in the news, and now she has to admit it to Harry first - but its not a conversation she's looking forward to." It is an awesome situation, well resolved with an amazing writing. One of my favorite fics from this ship.

"Spiders on the Stairwell" by Dovewings.of.Narnia (PG-13)

Fandom Category: Percy Jackson and the Olympians
Pairing: Annabeth Chase/Percy Jackson
Fic Title: Spiders on the Stairwell
Author: Dovewings.of.Narnia
Rating/Warning(s): PG-13 / No warning
Genre: Romance, fluff
WIP?: No.

Why This Must Be Read: ""'Uh, thanks,' Annabeth said, mentally cursing spiders and stairwells and attentive doormen and anything else that made her look like some kind of empty-headed, stereotypical damsel-in-distress."" Super cute and In Character and really, just read it.
