"Sustain or Concerto for the Famished in D Minor" by maybe_amanda and onemillionnine (NC-17)

Fandom Category: Sherlock BBC
Pairing: Molly Hooper/Sherlock Holmes
Fic Title: Sustain or Concerto for the Famished in D Minor

Rating/Warning(s): NC-17
Genre: Drama
WIP?: No

Why This Must Be Read:  "So now you're behaving like a six year old 'cause he didn't take you along on his honeymoon?" Lestrade said. "Grow the hell up."

John marries Sarah and they leave on a six-month honeymoon to Africa, leaving Sherlock alone to his resentment and boredom.  Molly, having wanted a child for sometime, decides to take matters into her own hands.  When Sherlock discovers she's looking at sperm donors and possibly moving away, he can't figure out why he's really so upset.  How he rationalizes his feelings and what he decides to do about them is what really makes this fic so fantastic.  Molly and Sherlock set off on a rollercoaster of emotions, from intense sexual attraction to mutual insecurity to genuine and undeniable affection (which Sherlock refuses to call love, because that simply doesn't really exist).  Six very long chapters that I stayed up half the night reading, I highly recommend this even if you're only vaguely familiar with the fandom (like I was, yesterday, but spent today netflixing the series).  It was such a good read, I haven't enjoyed a fic quite this much in a very long time!!

"Conduct Unbecoming" by ashen_key (PG)

Fandom Category: Avatar
Pairing: Trudy Chacon/Miles Quaritch
Fic Title: Conduct Unbecoming
Author: ashen_key
Link: LiveJournal | AO3 | FF.Net
Rating/Warning(s): PG (heavily implied past Trudy/Quaritch)
Genre: Drama
Special Rec: 4/48

Why This Must Be Read: Even though Trudy and Quaritch don't have any real screen time, I truly liked the idea of what-if and their interaction behind the curtain. ashen_key gives, IMO, the best (and only) version of what-if and actually makes the Trudy/Quaritch tension work.
