Wrong Number by malisita

Fandom Category: Criminal Minds
Pairing: Penelope Garcia/Derek Morgan
Fic Title: Wrong Number
Author: malisita
Link: http://oxoniensis.dreamwidth.org/25077.html?thread=2289909
Rating/Warning(s): R
Genre: Romance
WIP?: No
Special Rec: 9 of 21.

Why This Must Be Read: She's the FBI's resident tech goddess, he's the BAU's hot-shot profiler, and they spend the series having PG-13 rated phone sex during working hours. How the Criminal Minds has not embraced this pairing and run with it boggles my mind. This is the best fic I've found for them. It's short but it takes Garcia and Morgan's PG-13 level phone sex to R rated phone sex.

One Damn Thing After Another by metisket

Fandom Category: Soul Eater
Pairing: Maka Albarn/Soul Eater
Fic Title: One Damn Thing After Another
Author: metisket
Link: Part One | Part Two
Rating/Warning(s): PG-13
Genre: Romance
WIP?: No.
Special Rec: 10 of 21

Why This Must Be Read: metisket nails Soul Eater's voice, slipping us inside his head to contemplate his own sanity, how Maka is the best thing since sliced bread, and the nature of weapons and miesters. Additionally, this fic manages to show to awesome supporting cast and world-building without distracting from the epic romance of Maka and Soul.

Primeval, 2 Recs, Nick/Jenny

Fandom Category: Primeval
Pairing: Nick/Jenny, with a bit of past Nick/Claudia
Fic Title: The Double Life
Author: nikkimurray
Link: http://www.fanfiction.net/s/6703680/1/The_Double_Life
Rating/Warning(s): Teen; light sexual content, cheating in a relationship
Genre: Drama/Angst/Romance
WIP?: Yes, however the author is continually updating and the story is starting to wind down.

Why This Must Be Read: It's not often these days you find an old-school Nick/Jenny fic, and so this was a pleasant surprise when it appeared on the Primeval homepage. But, I was sucked in by the realistic storytelling, fantastic characterization, and the author's firm grasp on what she's doing and where she's taking everyone. All the characters feel as though they are exactly where they were back in Series 2, like all of this could have happened while we weren't watching. I usually don't read Nick/Jenny or Nick/Claudia, despite the fact that I ship them both, but this was a wonderful exception.

Fandom Category: Primeval
Pairing: Nick/Jenny, past Nick/Claudia
Fic Title: Thanks For The Memories
Author: nikkimurray
Link: http://www.fanfiction.net/s/6358541/1/Thanks_for_the_Memories
Rating/Warning(s): Teen; suggestive content, violence
Genre: Drama/Action/Adventure/Future!Fic/AU/Kid!fic
WIP?: No

Why This Must Be Read: In this fandom, it seems like future!fics are done to death (at least on the FF.net side of things), so I almost didn't give this old(ish) gem a shot. But the author weaves an interesting tale and doesn't just give Nick and Jenny a kid with a happy nice stereotypical marriage. In fact, they're not even together anymore. Until, that is, the anomalies escalate and a mysterious group of strangers come through from another time. And things just get more and more complicated from there on. As always with nikkimurray, the characters are spot-on and it feels like it could actually be a part of the show. A bit of advice, however. If you're going to read it, clear out some time to go through it in one go; because once the action starts, you won't want to put it down.

"Compliments of the FBI" by OnYourMark (Teen and Up)

Fandom Category: White Collar
Pairing: Elizabeth Burke / Peter Burke
Fic Title: Compliments of the FBI
Author: OnYourMark
Link: http://archiveofourown.org/works/161661
Rating/Warning(s): Teen and Up
Genre: Fluff
WIP?: No.

Why This Must Be Read: The Burkes are one of the better-written marriages I've seen on television, and this is one of the best-written fics I've seen to tell how they get there. The whole thing is wonderfully in character--Peter's awkward romantic overtures, Elizabeth's appreciation of that--and will leave you smiling and satisfied. There's also a nice touch of backstory and a funny bit with a penguin.
