Love, Love To Ease My Mind by dress without sleeves

Fandom Category: Push
Pairing: Cassie Holmes/Nick Gant
Fic Title: Love, Love To Ease My Mind
Author: dress without sleeves
Link: http://www.fanfiction.net/s/5886934/1/love_love_to_ease_my_mind
Rating/Warning(s): PG-13
Genre: Romance
WIP?: No.
Special Rec: 8 of 21

Why This Must Be Read: If you watched Push, chances are you shipped Cassie and Nick together. Admit it. This keeps the sarcastic neon tone of the movie and shows what happens next: Cassie and Nick's vagabond life style, the trouble they get into, the screwy nature of Cassie's power in particular. Plus this fic is both funny AND hot.

Untying by Astolat (M)

Fandom Category: Twin Peaks
Pairing: Dale Cooper/Audrey Horne
Fic Title: Untying
Author: Astolat
Link: http://archiveofourown.org/works/139535
Rating/Warning(s): M/implied violence
Genre: Romance, post series

Why This Must Be Read: Wonderful post series continuation, with the just-right Twin Peaks atmosphere and perfectly in character. This Audrey is exactly how I wanted her to go after leaving Twin Peaks, and her relationship with Cooper evolved very believably. About halfway through, you start to wonder if the author forgot about BOB...

Excerpt: Audrey wrote him brief notes all that next year. Today I went to the waterfall pool. It's really too early to swim but I went in anyway. There was no one else around, and I couldn't hear myself breathe or think, the water was so loud. I had to get out too soon because I was cold. Are you ever lonely?

Of Night and Half-Light by cherry_kiss_8 (PG-13)

Fandom Category: Supernatural
Pairing: Dean/Bela
Fic Title: Of Night and Half-Light
Author: cherry_kiss_8
Link: http://spn-hetexchange.livejournal.com/44669.html
Rating/Warning(s): PG-13; Spoilers for Season 5, including finale. Short mention of the Dunblane Massacre. Hints of torture and PTSD.
Genre: Drama/Angst/AU
WIP?: No

Why This Must Be Read: cherry_kiss_8 paints a vivid and heartbreaking-but-not picture of what could have been season 5, if Castiel had raised two souls from hell instead of one. Bela and Dean's characterizations are spot-on and the tarnish of hell is very real and very relevant. The Bela!POV is perfect and her questions are so in-character it makes me wish this wasn't quite so AU.
Plus, there's an ending that stays true to canon but lets Dean and Bela get away with something they never thought they'd have(in a really, really good way).
