Why This Must Be Read: Because it's awesome. It's completely possible, utterly in character, and totally believable that this was actually a scene left on the cutting-room floor. Once you've read it you'll add it to your own personal canon. It's a rare pairing and an odd match, but ed_84 makes it work so well. You don't need to ship these two to love this fic.

Why This Must Be Read:
Even thought this is a very A/U story, the characters stay true to form, It is extremely well written, updated weekly with nice long chapters well worth the wait.

The premise of this story is that the Cylons did not completely destroy the colonies, the humans and cylon's come to a uneasy truce with the cylon's having the upper hand, it takes place only 20 years after the first cylon war not 40. So the characters are in different situations and circumstances in their lives which adds to the wonderful dynamics of the story. This situations are very realistic as to what may have happened if the war would have taken place under these conditions.
In addition to Kara/Lee, I am a true A/R, but the way this it is written, it works extremely well and you may find yourself rooting for the new characters.

Why This Must Be Read: I have been systematically reading through everything over at Survival Instinct since i got into BSG not long ago. I stumbled across this gem and couldn't stop until i finished. Its a great take after the Season 3 final, and touches mostly on the dreams shared between Laura/Caprica 6/Athena, and offers a brilliant reveal about why they're all sharing them. Along the way, Laura and Bill's relationship changes and Laura stuggles to come to grips on her own past demons before she believes she can move forward with Bill. All up, a brilliant story, well thought out and written.

plus, bonus points for Bill and Zarek both fighting for Laura's affection. Bill's more possessive side never fails to amuse.
