Ainsley Hayes has always been one of my favourite characters from The West Wing, and when I realised that there were Leo/Ainsley stories on the internet, I was really excited. Thankfully, not only are these stories really good, they're also very long.
Well, actually, they are each a series of stories, of varying lengths, often relating to specific episodes from the show. "Stolen Moments" covers the events of season 2, while "Inside the Tornado" takes place over season 3. It is a shame that the author didn't continue the series beyond this, but what there is is brilliant. Leo and Ainsley seem to fit perfectly with each other.
(And if you grow to love the pairing, the same author has written a number of unrelated short fics featuring the pairing. My personal favourite is "Just a Picture".)
