Why This Must Be Read: Holy cow, this story was phenomenal. It's not only a wholly in-character exploration of the Parks crew in the face of an alien invasion, complete with compelling shippiness—it also changed the way I think about the alien-invasion trope. It's so good. Read it, read it, read it.

kyrieanne also has a great post-apocalyptic epic Parksfic, if you're into that sort of thing, but it doesn't have aliens...

I have no idea if I'm into that sort of thing, because this is the first time I've ever thought about transporting Parks and Rec into a setting like that, so right now it's just mind-blowing. I'll definitely check out the second one as well, though.
