The Thrilling Adventure Hour, 3 recs, Sadie Doyle/Frank Doyle
I recently finished the entire archive of this perfect, perfect podcast and was delighted to find that, when it comes to those married mediums, there's a whole liquor cabinet full of spookily good fic.

Fandom: The Thrilling Adventure Hour (Beyond Belief)
Pairing: Sadie Doyle/Frank Doyle
Title: It's Delightful Life
Author: fangirl_squee and madelinestarr

Rating/Warning(s): Mature
Word Count/WIP?: 24,696
Recced on LiveJournal By: stars_inthe_sky

Why This Must Be Read: This is basically the best Beyond Belief fic of ever—Sadie accidentally ends up in an alternate timeline where she never existed, resulting in all sorts of unhappy things, including a distinct lack of Frank. But, in true Sadie Parker Knickerhouse Doyle fashion, she gets to work fixing things and cajoling an unhappily sober ghost into giving her a hand. It's sweet and sad and hilarious and clever by turns, and if you love the show, you will love this fic.

Why This Must Be Read: I am generally not a fandom of BDSM in fic—but with this pair, it's a canonical and delightful aspect of the Doyles' relationship. And this series executes that aspect so beautifully...with enthusiasm and love, and hot as hell to boot.

Why This Must Be Read: POSTHUMOUS BANTER. Killing (literally) three fingers of gin and a glass of Lagavulin. Rules of haunting that adhere to a thirty-minute format. POSTHUMOUS BANTER. I'm not totally sure how the author managed to achieve the feat, but this is maybe the one fic I've ever read where the starting premise of a major character—and half of the OTP!—dies and yet everything ends perfectly happily.
